This will be our 14th Season hosting the 4 states favorite church retreat. Each season the returning groups become larger as word spreads of the good time to be found at River Ranch Resort. Kids enjoy the clean, well kept grounds and cabins and the many activities the river and resort have to offer, while the adult chaperones enjoy the rest and relaxation that comes with us doing all the cooking, serving and cleaning. This would explain the 87% repeat business we see. Join the many groups from San Antonio to Chicago and all points in-between on beautiful Elk River for fun and fellowship. First Day Raft Float
If you arrive by 2 pm the first day of your retreat package, a complimentary short raft float is available. Please let Ray know first thing upon arrival if you are interested in this option.

Remember youth leaders - we do all the work while you relax, enjoy the beauty of the river and watch the kids. Leave the cooking and cleaning to us.

Church Retreat Prices and Information

For our church retreat packages this year we have added some group pricing to the mix. The larger the group you bring the more affordable your package starts out. This is a good chance for you to get together with some other area sister churches and save some money.

Starting Package to include:

3 days – 2 nights in A/C cabins with a 4 mile canoe trip lasting 2-3 hours depending on how long you wish to enjoy the river. Includes 5 meals, 2 nights of golf under the lights on our 18 hole mini golf course, sand volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, swimming dock, and 27 acres to hike and explore. A fireside devotional both nights including a complimentary marshmallow roast on the second night. We also have a screened in pavilion for prayer, church service, and bible study that will accommodate up to 150. We still offer a short mini raft float on your first day, if you arrive before 2:00 pm.

Upgrade Option #1 - add $10 per person
Want to stay on the water longer? Take the 8 mile trip instead of the 4 mile. (Recommended for older or more experienced groups) Add $10.00 per person.

Upgrade Option #2 - add $5 per person
Here you can choose to take our large 6 man rafts for your float trip. These are a lot of fun to jump and swim off of and are very stable in the water. Add $5.00 per person. Want kayaks? Add $5 per person.

Upgrade Option #3 - add $10 per person
This year we are opening up our beautiful River Lodge to church groups. Our River Lodge has 4 cabins, each with 6 bedrooms. In 2 of these bedrooms there are 2 sets of bunks. It also has a large common area that’s perfect for church services or Bible studies. Add $10.00 per person.

Upgrade Option #4 - add $5 per person
Add a tour of Bluff Dwellers Cavern. The area’s most scenic cavern! (Nice savings over full admission price.) Add $5.00 per person.

Upgrade Option #5 - add $5 per person
If you want fresh sliced beef brisket sandwiches with ranch beans, coleslaw, and chips instead of all beef jumbo hot dogs for the meal on your second night add $5.00 per person.

Meal Information

The first night of your arrival is a Fresh Baked Pizza Party. The second night is jumbo hotdogs, chips, and ranch house beans. 16 oz. fountain drinks will be served with all meals.

Breakfast for both mornings includes a variety of cold cereals, hot biscuits with sausage gravy, milk, and orange juice.

Your float lunch will include Turkey and Ham subs, chips, cookies, and bottled water. These will packed in waterproof containers and sent with you on the river. This way you eat at your leisure.

A deposit of $25 per person,along with a copy of your tax exempt letter will reserve your retreat package for your desired date.

Daily Itinerary

Here is your basic itinerary, do’s and don’ts of the church retreat package your group can expect here at River Ranch Resort.

Ideally, a chaperone for every ten youths is a good rule of thumb; of course this can vary from group to group. We expect the chaperones to not only be ambassadors but responsible for conduct, safety, and general guidance while at the resort.

Below are times and schedules of activities that we have found work well for a smooth and rewarding experience during your stay at River Ranch Resort. Retreat Director Ray Garrison is in charge of all activities. He will be available day and night should any questions or special situations arise.

Suggestions and input as to how we can improve your spiritual retreat are always welcome. (Please let me know the sizes of T-shirts needed prior to your arrival.)

IF YOU ARRIVE BY 2:00 PM A COMPLIMENTARY SHORT RAFT FLOAT IS AVAILABLE. Please let Ray know first thing upon arrival if you are interested in this option.

6 pm: Dinner will be served at the Hungry Camper Café in the Company Store. Fresh Baked Pizza, dessert cups, and unlimited fountain drinks will be served.

7-11 pm: Free time. Sand volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, Bible study and fireside devotional.

7- 9 pm: Mini golf with your group and chaperones. At this time hand dipped ice cream will be open.

11 pm: Is quiet time; everyone in their cabin, lights out. No wandering around the park.

8 am: Breakfast in the main building: a variety of cold cereals, hot biscuits and sausage gravy, milk, orange juice or unlimited fountain drinks.

10 am: Float departure time. Meet Ray at the floating shed ready to depart for the float trip and remember to have your cabin key so that they can be held while you float. (DO NOT TAKE THEM ON THE RIVER.)

Your float lunch will include ham and turkey subs, chips, cookies, and water will be packed for your lunch on the river. You will be responsible for your personal drinks, snacks, and coolers for your float. You will also need to bring sun block, hat and river shoes. If you should forget one of these items we will have them in stock at our 6000 sq. ft. Company Store.

6 pm: Dinner will be served at the Hungry Camper Café in the Company Store. Jumbo all beef hot dogs, baked beans, potato chips and unlimited fountain drinks will be on the menu.

7-9 pm: Mini golf and free time as described in Day 1. Plus a fireside marshmallow roast and devotional at the fire pit of your choice.

11 pm: Is quiet time; everyone in their cabin, lights out. No wandering around the park.

8 am: Breakfast time will. Cereal, biscuits and sausage gravy, orange juice, milk or unlimited fountain drinks at the Hungry Camper Café.

10 am: Is check out time and cabin inspections. At this time you can either head to Bluff Dwellers Caverns or depart for home.
