Chili Cook Off & Car Show

September 10th-12th, 2010: This will be our 27th Annual Chili Cook Off and 2nd Annual Car Show! We have had some great chilis over the years and then we have had some not so great chilis, but it is always a fun weekend! The changes we made last year to the judging process seemed to work a little better so we are going to run this year the same way, so we can continue to place more chilis. This year we will continue to award trophies to the top 10 entries!

Being the car nuts we all seem to be around here, we always wanted to work in a car show too this weekend, so this year we just decided to do it. Trophies will be awarded to top cars in each class and best of show. We will also have a people's choice trophy. There will also be a "most likely to get pulled over" class, this class will be picked by local police department.

This weekend is 25% off on camping and cabins.

Chili Cook Off Information:

Entry fee is $15 in advance.

Registration from 8a.m. till 10a.m. at the concession tent.

Cooking time from 11a.m. till 2p.m. Public tasting and voting from 2p.m. till 4p.m.

Judging results announced at 5p.m. in Rendesvous Room.
Must be entirely cooked on site in alloted time, and no beans in the chili.
Judged on aroma, taste, and texture.
Cook 2 gallons of chili so public can taste and vote for peoples choice.

Trophies to top 10 chilis and peoples choice.

Car Show Information:

Entry fee: $15

Registration from 9a.m. till noon. Show from Noon till 4p.m.

Dash plaques to first 50 entries.

Results at 5p.m. in Rendezvous Room.

Domestic: Stock & Modified – all years
Street Rods: all years
Imports: all years
Trucks: all years
Motorcycles: all years

Trophies: Top 3 in each class, peoples choice, best of show and Most Likely to Get pulled Over chosen by Local PD

Spectator Information:

Admission $5 kids under 5 are free.
You will be given a small bowl and spoon to sample chilis & ballots to vote for your favorite chili and car.
Look for bright posters with numbers for chili cookers.
Concession tent open from 11a.m. till 6p.m.
Car show from Noon till 4p.m.
Turn in your ballots at the concession tent by 4p.m.
Spectator pass ends at 7p.m.
