September 10th-12th, 2010: This will be our 27th Annual Chili Cook Off and 2nd Annual Car Show! We have had some great chilis over the years and then we have had some not so great chilis, but it is always a fun weekend! This year we are going to change the judging a little bit so we can place more chilis. We have had so many entries the past few years we wanted to be able to recognize more than the top 3. So this year trophies are going to the top 10 entries!

Being the car nuts we all seem to be around here, we always wanted to work in a car show to this weekend, so this year we just decided to do it. Trophies will be awarded to top cars in each class and best of show. We will also have a people's choice trophy.

This weekend is ½ price for camping and cabins if you enter and participate in the cook off or the car show.

We will also have a 50/50 pot drawing after the car show results.

Chili Cook Off Details:

Entry fee is $15 in advance.

Rules: Everything must be prepared on site during cooking time. No beans in the chili, and must make 2 gallons

Cooking will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. Judging will take place approximately 1 hour later.

Trophies will be awarded to top 10 entries.

Car Show Details:

Open to the public for viewing and judging cars

Entry Fee is $15 in advance.

Three classes are: Import, Domestic, and any Trucks

Trophies are awarded to top 5 entries in each class plus Best of Show and People's Choice.

Show hours are from noon to 4 p.m. with judging following shortly.
