Tables and fire rings with grills provided. Unquestionably the most scenic camping on Elk River, Wilderness Island offers 57 waterfront sites, countless shade trees and a beautiful waterfall. This unique 12 acre island is surrounded by water and accessed by bridge. We consider this area to be family camping in a wilderness setting. Each site accommodates from 2 to 16 people. Larger groups will require more than one site. SITES 126-180 Late Night Loop Tables and fire rings with grills provided. This heavily shaded area is ideal for campers who want to stay up longer than others. Warning: We can be a little more lax on noise than other areas, but it must remain reasonable. Canoe Landing Grills and tables provided. Water nearby. With the easiest access to restrooms and showers, this area offers 9 sites that are spacious and on the river. The location of these sites makes them very popular. Call early for choice of sites. Each site accommodates from 6 to 10 people. Larger groups will require more than one site. Shelter Camping By popular demand, we now offer tent camping that can be reserved for you or your group with canoe reservations. Each numbered tent shelter is a 16' x 20' roof, with potable water at one end, electricity, picnic table, and fire ring with grill for campfires. There is room under the shelter for tents as well as a front yard. The shelter and yard area will hold up to 3 tents or 8 people. We do have a limited number of shelters, so call early. Each site accommodates from 4 to 6 people. Larger groups will require more than one site. Four person minimum per site. SITES 42-56 2 night minimum on weekends |

50 amp electricity, water, grills, tables and sewer. Each of our 19 sites offer water, electric (50 amp) and sewer hookups, plus a picnic table and fire ring with a grill. Each site is approximately 24' wide by 45' deep. All sites are back-in and near the water. Our RV Park has mostly shaded sites near the restrooms and supplies. These sites can be reserved for RV's, tents or both. Each site accommodates from 4 to 8 people. Larger groups will require more than one site. Posted Pet Rules
In the past few years here at the resort we are seeing more and more large and aggressive breeds that people are wanting to bring in for the day, the weekend or to take floating. This is one of the bigger problems that we have to deal with – darned if we do, darned if we don’t. Most people don’t want to camp next to them even when they are on their leash. Plus in the past serious and not so serious bites have occurred involving adults, and more importantly children. For these reasons, posted on our website, brochures and all printed material is as follows: CALL BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR DOG! A "judgement call" will be made by the staff person in charge and it is final. We apologize in advance if this rule inconveniences anyone. For the safety of all, this rule will be strictly followed.
